Many winter activities expose people to avalanche danger. This three day training for women helps you develop habits that will keep you and your backcountry partners alive.

  • Plan and prepare for travel in avalanche terrain
  • Recognize avalanche terrain
  • Develop a personal framework for making decisions in avalanche terrain.
  • Learn and apply effective companion rescue.

The Alaska Avalanche Information Center in partnership with Backcountry Babes hosts this course.
