Non-Profit’s in Alaska supporting Alaskans

Check out this video from KTVA regarding the impact non-profits are making in Alaska.

The Alaska Avalanche Information Center is part of this sector, the second largest economic driver in Alaska, with the work we do as a non-profit. However making ends meet when it comes to paying for the services the AAIC provides across this state is a daunting task. Our services are not paid as a line item in any government agency. We do receive support from the City of Valdez, Palmer and Haines but those donations only help support the very basic services such as insurance and minimal forecasting for these communities.

Instead, we rely on people like YOU. Our donor base is made up of more than 150 individuals, small businesses and other non-profits who contribute small, steady donations or pay for services on a regular basis. We offer fee based education programs that break even covering the cost to deliver the training.

Thank you to all those who recognize the value, importance and need for the services provided by the AAIC by supporting us with your cash donations. We could not provide avalanche forecasting or education services in Alaska without YOU!
