The Kenai Avalanche Information Center is a grassroots effort coming together thanks to the help and support of Sean 'Sully' Sullivan. At this time, this center will provide general information and education opportunities only. Name Sully Sullivan
Position/Title - Center Champion
Sully Sullivan is a life-long Alaska and was born in Palmer in 1980 making him a a hip 35. He grew up all over Alaska from Kenai to Petersburg. He graduated form Nikiski in 1999 and went into The Marine Corps directly after after that. He spent several years bouncing between Maine to guide white water and Hawaii where he opened his own business catching tropical fish and a dive shop for a stint, Met his Wife in 2004 and got hitched in 06 and then returned home to Alaska. He has been married almost 10 years and now has 2 kiddos (9 and 5 boy and girl.)
Sully Started riding when he returned home and hasn't looked back. He earned his level 1 from the Alaska Avalanche School. He is a certified Wilderness First Responder. He started really studying avvy terrain and conditions two winters ago. He has spent time tagging along with Graham from the CNFAIC on the days he's forecasting.
Sully says, "I love the snow and all things related except yellow snow !! I want people to be safe for themselves and others as well as have a great time and always return home. Oh yeah, and I'm a pretty neat guy too!!"
