Another Successful Expo

Thank you to the 56 volunteers, six collaborative agencies, 76 partner agencies and more than 1,000 residents and visitors who showed up at this year’s Emergency Preparedness Safety Expo. The AAIC was there in full force with two stage demos, an information center, and a Disaster Experience where visitors could join in an avalanche rescue, watch the Know Before You Go video, and learn important tips for avoiding the avalanche trap. Special thanks to the Mat Su Health Foundation, the Mat Valley Federal Credit Union, Alaska Department of Public Safety and Alaska Railroad for making it possible for the AAIC to participate in this important community safety project as part of National Emergency Preparedness Month. If you missed out this year, we hope to see you next September for the 2018 Expo.

AAIC participation made possible thanks to our generous supporters!
