Contact Jessie

Jessie grew up Spring Break skiing in Colorado with her family and developed a love for the mountains that brought her to Alaska in 2010.  This winter Jessie is living in Hatcher Pass full time as the Independence Mine State Historical Park winter caretaker with her husband Sam.  She has been an active member of the HPAC community advisory board since Fall 2016, focusing her energy on education and outreach, strategic direction, and fundraising.  She is in her third winter season instructing for the Alaska Avalanche School and is passionate about sharing her stoke for avalanche safety and knowledge with students.  Last season she got to geek out on snow to her heart’s content interning with the Chugach National Forest Avalanche Information Center. While interning she learned to snowmachine in the mountains and continues to be obsessed with improving her riding skills.
