General Observations

Sometimes a nice swath of pow leads to a jungle of alders.  And then you have to manually turn your sled around.  It happens.

Got barreled by cold, blower pow at tree-line on Flower as I was out for observation.  Happy to see the wind was gracious to the pow.  Using a trench  from a stuck sled (it happens), we did a quick Stress test (ECTX)  on the snow.  It showed a beautiful AK snow pack (around 5 ft deep) and no indications of instability .  Temps where just below freezing and lightly snowing.  Very pleasant condition.  Stoked that tiny area was good to go.  However, not going to get too excited and continue to assess as I poke around.  Still early in the season and good to get a baseline of the snow pack.
