General Observations
Clouds broke for a couple hrs Thursday am. Obs from drive 26-border along HNS hwy (Transitional zone). Observed numerous natural avalanches. Note, accuracy is low due to new snow covering crowns. Assumed most avalanches release during “atmospheric river” event peak 12/1. Sizes ranged R2-R4 and D2-D4. Notable naturals – D4 SE face into start of Jarvis. R2-D3 to the ground SE face Glacier creek valley. R4-D3 NE lower Mahogany ridge (Flower Mt area). R2-D2 N face to rocks/ground? Old Faithful. Start zones elevations estimated 3.5 -4.5K. A couple wet loose/dirty point release streaks that did not entrain surrounding snow or trigger slabs initiating around 4K (N toe of Glacier creek and N face behind Old Faithful)
