General Observations

Castner glacier: We skied out along castner glacier. Trail is well traveled to the first ice cave but deep snow- definitely helpful to have skis or snow shoes. We camped between the first and the second ice cave. Snow was knee to waist deep and soft so it was helpful to wear skis when around camp. Weather was clear with blue skies and minimal wind. Some areas along the trail were wind blown with almost bare spots then deeper areas where snow built up. Enough snow to build a quinzee ðŸ™‚
