General Observations

54 Mile. Clear sky, 12F, ridgelines flagging from north wind.

At 3400′ the HS is 165cm. Wind affected surface with 45cm soft storm slab bonding to old surface. Midpack consists of strong frozen wet grains and rounds over 4F facets at ground. We noticed a size 2 natural slab avalanche on a southern aspect; probably pulled out during or just after recent storm. Crown looks to be deeper than just storm snow, maybe old facets under midpack?
