General Observations

Pass Zone around 3 mile: Great snow conditions. 10-15cm of new snow fell yesterday and bonded well with the existing snow surface. As we broke treeline, we found evidence of a past S wind event that deposited thin wind slabs on northerly and westerly aspects. At and below treeline we found a snowpack that got more cohesive with depth and lacked any notable layering in the upper 100cm. Compression test on a S aspect, below treeline, 22 degrees, open slope broke at CT26 RP down 40cm on 0.5-1mm decomposing snow x2. At 125cm down there is a rain crust still lingering although we didn't dig down our quick pit down to it
