General Observations
Tukgahgo @ 2,800’. N Aspect. Observed numerous natural avalanches above tree line on NE/NW aspects. They appeared to be wet/loose. Average size was 100’ x 100’. There was 4-8” of new snow on top of hard rain crust layer. Additionally, there is another hard crust layer approximately 48 cm below the surface as well as large wind driven cornices at 3,500’.
