General Observations

Lutak Zone: 2300’/SW-aspect/calm/broken to overcast/22F. Found soft turns below 7-mile saddle with a few considerations 1) identifying terrain traps 2) debating alders, as trigger points or anchors and 3) poor structure vs. fair stability. Found the 12/6 melt-freeze crust at elevations above 1,500′ down 30-45cm. No obvious signs of instability, except propagating test results on that layer. Stayed away from wind drifts, convex slopes, and terrain traps.
