General Observations
Haines Pass Zone: 4,500' NE-aspect/28F/S-wind/fog/snowing lightly. Snow depth was 75cm with 15cm of new storm snow and 40cm observed storm total. The new storm load fully propagated in an extended column test at ECTP17 down 40cm which means touchy conditions in steep open terrain above 30 degrees. Evidence of wind loading from southerly winds on north aspects. Precip has helped to build the snowpack though still variable and relatively shallow. Cold low density interfaces exist and will take time to bond.
