General Observations

Transitional Zone: 4500'/NW-aspect/broken sky/25F/light winds. Wind scoured at ridgelines with soft snow lower down on north-west aspects. Faceted surface snow had ski pen 20-30cm which made for good turns. Localized wind slab is intermixed with surface facets in areas where either the facetings has not broken the slab down, or new wind slab has been reformed. In steep terrain with enough slab continuity, it could be possible to trigger one of these wind slabs. A slight change to south-aspects immediate presented saturated wet snow, buried sun crusts and rocks/cliffs that were solar heating.
