General Observations
House Zone: Looking out the window from town at Telemark Ridge (NE-aspect above 1500') there are recent crown lines on almost every 30+ degree convexity. Interesting to see how the fractures overlap, connect and step-down. These photos may serve as exercises for mental mapping avalanche terrain, where pockets of snow could slide out. Natural avalanche activity is a solid indicator of unstable snow and a critical red flag. With nearly 2"+ of water that fell over our mountains this weekend, the warm temperatures 50F+ and the increasing solar radiation, the avalanche danger is very high and backcountry travel is not advised.
