General Observations
Cleared rime ice off from anemometer of the Ripinsky weather station at 2,600’. Low-vis and calm winds. Less than 1cm surface crust was noticeable above 1,500’. Easy to breakthrough, with soft fast recycled powder underneath. Small point release in the forest running over denser old snow. Good to be thinking about that “old snow” bed surface and the “fast pow” weak layer, with the “future snowfall” slab on top.
