Precipitation 8cm at 1C Friday PM. Cloudy morning to sunny around noon Saturday. NW wind became extreme in the afternoon. Cold and crystal clear milky way skies overnight. Sunday morning with positive temps in the sun to haze and partial cloud by afternoon.
Highly variable. Several natural avalanches on S and E aspects with wind loading. Appeared to have been triggered by overhanging cornices. We triggered convex slopes in the willows, but they stayed anchored, moving no more than a 1m down slope. Sunday hand pit confirmed more dense, almost crust layer under wind slab and sugar beneath.
