General Observations

3/12: Tsaina Valley N-NW aspects up to 5700' between "the corner" and the toe of the glacier.  Clear, light to moderate E-NE winds, light snow transport, 7° F at 5500'.

Shooting cracks: Yes, but only on the lee side of terrain features up to 3 feet long and small cracks around skis.   Collapsing: No.  Avalanches:No

Found a variety of wind affected surfaces in areas exposed to strong winds, ranging from sastrugi to old crusts.  In areas less affected by wind, found four finger wind slab that ranged in depth from just a skin to 30 cms, over fist hard snow.  Found good stability.

Pit results at 5500' NW aspect produced ECTN22 down 35 cm
