General Observations

Toured up Billy Mitchell to 3000'.  Surface snow was moist to wet up to 2200',becoming drier above that. At 3000' wx was Overcast, lightly snowing, calm and 30 degrees F.  Later in the day Tiekel, Three Pigs and Billy Mitchell were flagging above 4000' from moderate to strong S-SW winds. There was 2 inches of fresh snow sitting on wind affected snow.  Below this was a layer of near surface facets that showed easy propogation on an ECT.  This layer is only 6 inches deep now, but if we get a substantial amount of snow in the next week we could see some avalanche activity in this area.  Snow pit attached below.
