General Observations
2/3- Girls-Bald Boy up to 3600’/ SE-E aspects/ partly cloudy becoming clear/ no precipitation /calm
Shooting cracks- No, new snow had no cohesion
Collapsing-No
Avalanches- No
Found 30 cms (12 inches) of new, very low density snow sitting on a hard (pencil +) wind affected snow. The new snow was not bonded well to the old wind affected snow, numerous point releases were seen in terrain steeper than 35°. Skiing terrain steeper than 35° caused the new snow to sluff, entraining all the new snow on the slope below. The new snow was unaffected by wind and had not formed a slab in this location.
