General Observations

1/7- Allison Creek up to 1600′,west-north aspects.  Clear/moderate north wind/ no snow transport

Shooting cracks: No

Collapsing: No

Avalanches: No

Found a thin rain crust (1/8 inch) at the surface that was visible up to ridge lines at 3000′.  Rain crust  is unable to support a persons weight with dry settled snow beneath.  This layer of crust was not uniform in the area where I travelled.  Recent strong winds had scoured beneath the crust in places gouging deeper into the snowpack creating patchwork of thin rain crusts,  areas scoured into deeper layers and dense wind slabs on the lee side of terrain features.
