General Observations
Lutak zone, north-facing trees today: great snow, great skiing between 2000-3000ft. Snow began accumulating in the afternoon about when we descended for the day. Winds light-moderate and increasing out of the SE. Snowpack was about 30cm of fist-hard facets at the surface, with well bonded but faceted layers and wind slabs/crusts beneath. Expecting the thick surface facet layer to be a weak layer of concern for a while after upcoming snowfalls.
