Transitional Zone: 1500ft, NE aspect. (See photo) This D2 pocket wind slab is a good example of how cross loaded terrain is holding fresh wind slabs that rest on buried surface hoar or facet layers. Watch out for cross loaded pockets, especially since they tend to funnel into terrain traps.
