General Observations

Transitional Zone: Observed three small natural soft slab avalanches on NE and E aspects near 1500ft, which were recently cross loaded from NW winds. All were D2R2, about 30cm deep and on steep convexities. Something to keep in mind as this kind of cross-loaded terrain is very tempting to ski, but the weather has remained cold and these near-surface weak layers will persist. All three of these slides ran into terrain traps.
