General Observations

5 Mile Creek Haines Pass @2,500’, W aspect HNS ~20cm. HS 165. Very strong N winds ripping down the pass with flagging evident atop ridge lines. Wind affected and sastrugi above tree line. 20 cm of new snow sitting on a firm bed surface near and below tree line. Down 50cms, a 1 cm crust exists with small (0.5- 1mm) near crust facets above. CT11 down 20 and CT22 down 50.
