General Observations

Transitional Zone. 39 mile Haines highway, US side. Calm, overcast, no precip. tm around freezing.  We noticed around 1 foot deep crown (hard slab avalanche) at elev. 1000 feet, south facing, steeper than 35 degree slope. we dig a pit at elevation 700 feet where the slop was 25 degree steep.(the same slope).  snowpack 180cmm deep.
