General Observations
Great snow at Three Guardsman on Saturday. Skied Northwest aspect (facing the highway). Dug hasty pit near the top of the first pitch. 1 meter +/- deep, top 5 cm sheared when isolating the back of the column. The rest of the pack is consolidated till it weakens at the very bottom. No results with compression test. No visible slide activity in the area and no results from nearby snow machine traffic. Great snow for the day but I would be concerned about that top spindrift layer after last night’s storm.
