General Observations

Skied Wedding Bowl on Mt. Ben Stuart. Lower wedding bowl had an ice crust that was smooth on top, with 1.5 inches of new snow above the crust. The new snow was wind affected, cohesive, and poorly bonded to the crust below. In upper wedding bowl, the new snow had more of a substantial crust, and the rain crust below was more textured and easier to get an edge in on. The interface between the crust and new snow is a layer to watch out for in future storm cycles, as it is weak and reactive now. Skintrack is a bootpack almost until the bottom of wedding bowl due to snow coverage at the moment.
