A non-profit representing the interests of the Southeast Alaska Snow Community.

Southeast Alaska Avalanche Center

Southeast Alaska Avalanche Center is here to promote mountain safety through avalanche education, forecasting, and rescue training.

A relatively small fraction of terrain often frequented by back-country travelers has a professional daily avalanche forecast available. For this reason, the Alaska Avalanche Information Center encourages users to share what they see.
