Four year old North Pole girl killed in roof avalanche April 1, 2017

Our hearts and prayers are with the family and friends of the four-year old girl killed in an avalanche in North Pole on April 1st. Having been through a tragedy of my own, I can still only imagine the heartbreak this family is dealing with over the loss of this precious child.

Roof avalanches are not as uncommon as people might think. And they are not really a ‘freak’ accident. It only takes the right ingredients and timing for everything to fall into place and tragedy to strike. It is a heartbreaking lesson for all of us to remember to be aware of what is above you, even if it’s your roof.
