Announcements

Early season conditions exist on Thompson Pass.  Our thin snowpack has yet to cover many hazards such as rocks, rivers and crevasses.  Even though the snowpack is thin, if there is enough snow to ride, then it can slide.

Use caution if recreating in or below avalanche terrain.  Avalanches are always dangerous, but even very small ones can have consequences if they drag you over rocks. Natural avalanches, shooting cracks and collapsing snow are all signs of snow instability.

If you have been out in the snow lately, please leave an observation!
