Weather

A large storm will bring heavy precipitation Sunday evening through Tuesday. Initially, snow will fall to sea level. The freezing line will climb to between 500 and 1000 feet Monday and return back to sea level Tuesday. Models suggest 3-4 inches of water, which will translate into around 3 feet of snow in the upper mountains. Moderate wind will load western aspects. The avalanche hazard will increase and avalanche terrain should be avoided Monday, including 5 mile of the highway. Also beware of roof slides.
