Weather

We received an inch of water in the last 36 hours. The freezing line sat at 2000 feet and above. Currently, we have some leftover ice at sea level, 3 feet of snow at 1500 feet, and at least twice as much snow in the upper mountains. Recent observations have been obscured, though small avalanche activity is probably occurring in the upper mountains. Lack of snow in the lower elevations should keep activity limited.

Expect precipitation to continue, with the freezing line again fluctuating between sea level and above the peaks. Confidence in the details remains low. We may see a subtle break Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday. However, somewhere between Thursday and Friday precipitation looks to get heavy at times. The avalanche hazard may increase then.
