Weather

February brought much precipitation with the freezing line fluctuating between sea level and our local peaks. Several avalanches events occurred including down to the ground, though minimal snow down low kept debris from reaching very far. Mostly benign weather the last few days has promoted snow stability.

A high pressure ridge to the east of us will force a pineapple express firehose event directly at us Friday night through Saturday. Models suggest 3 inches of water, with strong east wind and the freezing line climbing to our local peaks. The avalanche hazard will climb quickly Friday through Saturday.
