Weather

We received near an inch of water Sunday into Monday morning, with moderate wind loading western aspects. The freezing line climbed to mid mountain, bringing mostly rain to sea level and a foot of snow in the upper mountains. Some avalanche activity occurred during the storm. Dry cool weather has since promoted snow stability.

Expect dry cold weather to continue through the rest of the week, with some north wind. Sunshine may cause avalanche activity on southern aspects, while cold temperatures at night will further promote stability. Backcountry users should use caution on sun baked slopes.
