Weather
Two inches of water fell early last week with the freezing level above the peaks. This initiated our spring shed. Warm temperature have continued, as daylight increases. Some avalanche activity occurred.
Expect precipitation Sunday night into Thursday with the freezing line again above the peaks. Models suggest 3 inches of water. This will continue our meltdown. Backcountry users should be wary of cornices, glide cracks, and steep unsupported slopes. The main highway hazard sits at the smaller 5 mile path, on the town side of the loop road.
