Weather

We received near an inch of water Wednesday, with the freezing line fluctuating below tree line. This translated into a foot of new snow at 1500 feet. East winds loaded western slopes. While we’ve had recent avalanches, activity appears quiet with this event. Dry and cold weather since has promoted stability.

Expect mostly dry weather with light northerly wind through the weekend. This looks to abruptly change Monday. The avalanche hazard will probably increase then.
