Weather

Our snowpack was well tested last week with 10 inches of water and the freezing line above the peaks. Some medium to large avalanches occurred. Dry conditions Monday allowed the snow pack to drain and stability to increase.

Expect dry weather to continue through the week. Snow stability should continue to increase. Also, daylight is rapidly increasing, bringing diurnal temperature fluctuations. Backcountry users should use increasing caution around sunbaked slopes in the afternoons.
