Weather

Our snow pack was tested Saturday through Monday with 3 to 5 inches of water and the freezing line above our local peaks. Some medium to large wet avalanches occurred. Dry weather Tuesday allowed the snow pack to drain and snow stability to increase. However, warm temperatures continue and Wednesday looks to bring 2 more inches of water with warmer temperatures. Avalanches are not expected to affect the highway at this time, though backcountry users should still be wary. Â
