Weather
We received 3 inches of water Monday, with the freezing line fluctuating between sea level and 1500 feet. This translated into nearly 3 feet of new snow at tree line and above. Moderate to strong east wind loaded western aspects. Some medium to large avalanches occurred during the storm. Dry weather Tuesday and temperatures below freezing last night promoted stability.
Expect another quick storm to bring ¾ inch of water overnight. Temperatures look to stay cold enough to bring 6 inches of snow to sea level. East wind will load western aspects. The avalanche hazard may increase.
