Weather

After 48 hours of benign weather, another storm is here. Expect heavy precipitation with the freezing level mostly above our local peaks. Avalanche activity will probably occur. Our shallow snow pack, however, has been previously tested, and lack of snow at lower elevations should keep avalanches from affecting the highway. Backcountry users should avoid avalanche terrain above tree line. The weather looks to quiet down by Thursday, allowing the hazard to come down then.
