Weather
We received 6 inches of snow last Thursday, with moderate wind loading western slopes. Since then conditions have been cold and clear. Northwind moved snow towards southern aspects, though much of it sublimated back into the atmosphere.
The next precipitation event has arrived. Weather models suggest a foot of snow accumulating down to sea level through Wednesday. Strong wind will load western aspects This new snow probably won’t bond very well to the previous wind hammered surface. The avalanche hazard may increase further as the new snow adds up. Precipitation should end Thursday.
